Abandoned by the people who brought him into the world and left all alone, a young boy sees the hardships and horrid living conditions of the lower classes in the land of Tonna. Those who sit in power and have the means to lift the impoverished up to a better quality of life have chosen the path of greed and selfishness. The starving masses do not have the power to change things, but this young boy does.
Through young Krieg's veins flows the force of magic, a power not seen in Tonna since the ancient days. Krieg must learn to harness his abilities and use them for the betterment of all. However the road to hell is paved with good intentions and even the most benevolent of motives can be replaced with cynicism, malice, and a warped sense of what is right and what is wrong.
Will his magic be enough to change a nation? Can a young orphan boy's dream of a better life for all be made a reality? Is it possible for any leader to remain true and just or will he become what he hates?
